Free Kids Obstacle Course
The Trout Trot is held at the River Falls High School (818 Cemetery Road, River Falls, WI 54022). The venue provides convenient parking, easy access to Highway 65, and pedestrian walking paths.
The 5K course starts at the high school and winds through the University of River Falls campus. This course is paved and flat through residential and campus streets. One aid station will be provided for the 5K.
1/2 Marathon and 20 Mile Course
The 1/2 Marathon and 20 Mile courses curve through south River Falls passing by many farms and woodlands on paved, sometimes hilly, rural state roads.
Eight aid stations will be provided for the 20 Mile and 20 Mile 2-person relay. Four will be provided for the 1/2 Marathon and 1/2 Marathon 2-person relay. One energy gel station will be provided for the 1/2 Marathon and 20 Mile.

Race day number pick-up and registration will be at the River Falls High School (818 Cemetery Road, River Falls, WI 54022) from 6:15 AM - 7:00 AM.
NOTE: Registrations submitted after 9/1/17 may not a long sleeve tech T-shirt. No refunds will be issued.

- 6:15 AM - 7:00 AM Packet pick-up
- 7:30 AM 20 Mile, 20 Mile relay, 1/2 Marathon and 1/2 Marathon relay start
- 8:00 AM - 10:30 AM FREE Kids' Obstacle Course open
- 8:30 AM 5K start
- 9:30 AM 5K awards
- 9:45 AM 1/2 Marathon awards
- 11:00 AM 20 Mile awards
All races begin and end at the River Falls High School (818 Cemetery Road, River Falls, WI 54022).
Race vans will be available at the River Falls High School for 1/2 Marathon RELAY RUNNERS ONLY. Vans will take runners to the exchange point for the 1/2 Marathon. Vans will depart the High School 7:35 AM. Vans will return the 1st Leg Relay Runners to the High School. There will be no post-race van service.
The 20 Mile relay runners exchange near the start/finish.
Awards, Shirts, & Medals
The overall male and female finishers in the 20 Mile, 1/2 Marathon and 5K races receive a homemade pie courtesy of South Fork Cafe in River Falls. The top three male and female finishers in each division will receive a commemorative medal ribbon. (Excludes relays)
There will be no duplication of awards. No awards will be mailed.
All finishers will receive a custom finisher medal.
All participants registered before 9/1/17 will receive a long sleeve 100% polyester tech T-shirt. Race shirts are not guaranteed in the registration fee if submitted after 9/1. Race shirts will also be available for purchase on race day for $10.00.
