Guest Coordinator – Welcome Day Center guests, answer a phone, respond to a variety of questions and offer resources. Work a 2 or 4 hour shift once a week, every other week or once a month. Additional requirement: be 18 years old & a high school graduate.
Closet Workers – This position is an opportunity to be directly involved with guests. Closet workers help clients choose clothing, process donations, and maintain the retail space. If direct service isn't so much your thing, there are opportunities to work behind the scenes with the sorting and hanging of the clothes as they come in.
Food pick-up and delivery – Help get the food to the backpack program! Meet the delivery truck at the food pantry, load up your truck or car then bring the food over to the “backpack” pantry at Ezekiel and unload it. If you don’t have a truck, don’t worry! You can help load and unload. This position takes place on Wednesday mornings.
Food Shelf Stocker – Help stock the shelves at the Backpack food pantry. This position helps organize the food shelves so they are neat and ready to go. This takes place only on weeks of food deliver. It could be weekly, every other week, or monthly depending on the food deliveries and other volunteer availability.
Our Neighbors’ Place Board Member – The Board meets monthly for 1 ½ hours and each member volunteers several hours per week on a project for the organization. We are looking for men and women who care about their neighbor, can work as a team and support the mission of ONP.
Publicity/Marketing – Someone with good writing skills and experienced in designing brochures and flyers to promote our positive image to the public. Duties would include preparing articles for print and on-line publication and designing flyers and posters. This individual would work in conjunction with the Director.
